Quick History
RealEyez Mystic. Young Naija. Enda Story. The jersey juggernaut. Many
Names...but the same passion for Entertainment. RealEyez has been
performing all his life.
It started as a child, He loved to dance all over his house, and at all the
functions he went too, basically anywhere there was music, and he
garnered attention doing so. He decided to study the actual craft of Hip
Hop dancing, and connected with some other heads who appreciated the
art form and practiced...alot. This is something that has stuck with him,
evident in his becoming a Hip Hop Choreographer teaching part time
during the school year.
RealEyez was also bitten by the rapping bug at the age of 14, after
hearing Onyx's 1st Album BacDaFucUp. That album sparked in him the
yearning to mix metaphors and stories with Music and delivery, and thus,
an M.C. was born. RealEyez has not stopped rapping since, whether solo
or with the various groups he was a part of (shout to Da Forgotten Men,
Wicked Youth, Enlightenment, Natural Disasters, Take Note, Love Reign,
and my current group E-mance Prok) he continues to amaze crowds of hip
hop lovers everywhere.
Even before realeyez was an M.C. he was a poet. Poetry was a release
for him during his middle school years, ask the girls he wrote poems for
and they'll tell you. He was smooth back then as he is now...As he
matured RealEyez's poetry did also, growing into poetry that touched
every topic, not only love. From the normal to the taboo, RealEyez's works
spoke of a soul much older and wiser than his age. When Realeyez
reached College, he was introduced to Spoken Word Poetry. Immediately
noticing the similarities between this new form of poetry and MCing, he at
once took to this craft, and became well known for his for his work with it.
RealEyez while young, performed in many Plays, and musicals, where his
Acting and Singing skills were allowed to flourish and grow. Realeyez has
performed monologues at events in the tri-state and is always looking for
roles that will help to enrich the view of the african/african-american in
today's society. As for now, you probably won't catch RealEyez singing too
much..He's focusing on his other talents, but don't be thrown off if you
hear him on your favorite rappers hook, or his own...but thats the same
person aint it...lol, peace.
RealEyez was born in London, England in 1980 something. (England? yes,
England, both of his parents, nigerian, were living there when...well you can
figure the rest out) After living there for a few years, his family moved to the
flatbush Section of Brooklyn (BROOKLYN KID WHAT WHAT WHAT!!!).
Interesting move right? Anyhow, from BK his family moved to the Bronx,
(Grand Concourse Stand UP!!) where he went through most of his middle and
high school. Always on the move, his fam then upped and moved to Newark,
NJ (Brick City all day er day) where he finished out School at Barringer High.
From there (yeah again), RealEyez went on to College at Rutgers University,
NB (RU rah rah, lol) and now resides in NB. If you around the area...speak
when you see him...he's cool. Really.
